Guidelines for all Coaching Levels:
- Keep it Fun
- Be organized. Prepare a schedule of practices, have a parents meeting
or clinic etc.
- Arrive before and leave after players have been picked up for practices
and games
- Be sure all players are instructed on safety equipment and safe play
- Make sure players have water at all times
- Have registration/insurance proxy forms WITH THE TEAM at ALL TIMES
- Practices and games may ONLY be held at approved locations, see your
League Rep for more info
- Set clear and reachable expectations
- Be polite, positive and fair to all players
- Make practice and game activities active and enjoyable. “Keep
your players moving”
- Model good sportsmanship
- Be patient and remember all players improve at different rates
- Inspect equipment and prepare playing surfaces for use before practices
and games
- Know the Local, District and National Little League rules for your
level of play
- Include and involve the parents of your players. (Let parents know
what and how you coach)
- Remember that the game is for the players
Guidelines for T-Ball Coaches:
- Know the rules!
- Home teams occupy the Third Base Dugout and prepare field for games.
Away team picks up field
- Each team is responsible for cleaning up their own Dugout and parent’s
seating areas
Guidelines for AA Ball Coaches:
- Know the rules!
- Home teams occupy the Third Base Dugout and prepare field for games.
Away team picks up field
- Each team is responsible for cleaning up their own Dugout and parent’s
seating areas
Guidelines for AAA Ball Coaches:
- Know the rules!
- Home teams occupy the Third Base Dugout and prepare field for games.
Away team picks up field
- Each team is responsible for cleaning up their own Dugout and parent’s
seating areas
Guidelines for Majors Coaches:
- Know the rules!
- Home teams occupy the Third Base Dugout and prepare field for games
includeing raking and lining.. They are also responsible for providing
volunteers to staff the Snack Shack and to provider and Announcer/Scorekeeper
for the game
- Away team is responsible for picking up bases, covering the Mound
and raking the infield after the game
- Each team is responsible for cleaning up their own Dugout and parent’s
seating areas
Guidelines for Juniors/ SR/Big Leagues Coaches:
- Know the rules!
- Home teams occupy the Third Base Dugout and prepare field for games.
