In the final fall baseball action of the year, the Hartford Yard Goats defeated the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels 5-1 to win the minors (8, 9 year olds) championship at St. Mary’s field this past Wednesday (in what was a FANTASTIC little league baseball game!). It was an amazing fall ball for all three of our minors teams with the Mighty Mussels finishing as regular season champs with a record of 11-1 and the Mussels, Yard Goats and Rocket City Trash Pandas finishing 1-2-3 atop the league (out of nine JD, FM and ESM teams). Congratulations to all three teams on their combined success.

Thank you coaches for all your hard work these past couple months and your dedication to player development! On to winter league!

There will be an announcement soon on something big happening next year. Registration for the spring season will open up , as it typically does, mid-January.

Fall ball is just about over and it has been an amazing season. Last night our Binghamton Rumble Ponies battled in the majors championship game at Carrier Park. Although they came up just a couple runs short of a victory, they still finished with a league-best regular season record (out of eight JD, FM and ESM teams) in addition to being the playoff runners-up. Congratulations on a great season to the Rumble Ponies as well as our other majors team, the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers! Thank you coaches for all your hard work these past couple months and your dedication to player development!

Congratulations!

Greetings JDLL Families,

For Memorial Day weekend we have a couple exciting things to announce. The league was invited again by the Jamesville Chamber of Commerce to participate in the Memorial Day parade. Last year we had a strong contingency of players and families march to honor those that have died serving. I’m hoping that we can do the same this year. I’ve been told that the parade will begin at 11am on Saturday, March 27th. Line up will begin at 10:30am somewhere in the heart of town (near the Depot and Jamesville Museum). It might be a good idea to park either at St. Mary’s field or Jamesville Elementary and walk down into the village.

I am super excited to announce that, for the first time in many years, we will have 16 players in total competing in the annual 10U/12U District 8 Memorial Day Wood Bat Tournament! All games will be hosted by Syracuse LL at the Van Duyn Fields (401 Loomis St., Syracuse) if anyone is interested in coming out and supporting our players. 10U and 12U teams will each play a total of five games over the course of three days. If you’re looking to come out, games are on:

  • Friday, May 26 at 6pm
  • Saturday, May 27 at 10am and noon
  • Sunday, May 28 at 10am and noon

That’s it for now. Hopefully everyone’s had a great first half of the season so far!!
