Greetings JDLL Families, 

This is a reminder that the first registration deadline is nearing. The registration deadline for players 8-12 is Friday, March 8th. All players age 8-12 (with the exception for those that played majors division last spring) must attend the skill assessment at Sports Center Court Street on Sunday, March 10th. More details on what to expect for the skill assessment will be sent out next week.

I must emphasize that teams will be drafted in the days that immediately follow the skill assessment so that uniforms can be received before the start of the season. If a player is not registered by March 8th, we cannot add them to a team and they unfortunately will not play this season.

Lastly, all players 4-7 still have until March 31st to register (and do not need to attend any sort of skill assessment).

Hellloooo JD Little Leaguers!

As part of the effort to raise money for a new concessions building at St. Mary’s Field, we’re going to do a few raffles leading up to the season (and maybe some during). The (online) raffles will open on March 1st and continue on through Opening Day which is scheduled from Saturday, May 4th. Some time around noon/first pitch, raffle winners will be drawn! We’ll provide more information in a couple weeks on how to go online and purchase tickets.

Attached is a picture that will give a little sneak peek at the half dozen prizes. To build some hype, we’re going to reveal them one by one every couple days. ;) Please keep checking the league website, or JD Little League on Facebook or Instagram for updates!

Is it too soon to think about baseball? Definitely not! We have two baseball teams at the 10 and 12 year old levels that have continued to get in their reps and improve their skills on Saturdays in the Syracuse Sports Zone Indoor league. Its great to see the dedication. They’ll be ready once Spring rolls around!
